How did they know LensConnect?

Artemis Vision has been buying Computar lenses for our machine vision systems for some time. We heard about LensConnect through a meeting we had with our account representatives. 

Why were they interested in LensConnect?

LensConnect supports the sensor sizes we're using for our product at a decent price point. Our system features an auto-configuration option for camera lens setup that we were able to create using LensConnect.

What challenges could LensConnect solve?

LensConnect allowed us to create greater ease of product set-up for our end-users. This has put our product in a greater position to be successful without the end-user needing to know the intricacies of setting up a lens. 

How did they make decision to use LensConnect? I believe they tested before purchasing. How did test go well?

We made the decision based on some side-by-side testing with a few lenses we had been previously using. The LensConnect had similar optical performance to those lenses and was most straightforward to integrate into our application.

We would like to know if they have specific request for future development.

We would like to see the short USB cable replaced with something more rugged. A locking USB cable or, a 4 pin M8 connector in place of a cable. 

Also, a fuller featured SDK that includes connection monitoring and handles concurrent communications to the device would be helpful.

Finally, a model that supports 1.1" sensors and includes focal lengths from 4mm to 40mm would be great as some of our customers are exploring different ways to use our system.
